What is a credit card Security Code and why is it required?
In order to protect you from unauthorized transactions, GiftCertificates.com requires your credit card’s Security Code.
- American Express: The Security Code is the 4-digit number printed on the front of the card directly above the embossed account number.
- Visa, MasterCard and Discover: The Security Code is the 3-digit number printed on the signature panel on the back of your card. It immediately follows the account number.

Please add one business day to the durations below placed after 2PM EST. Orders placed before 2PM EST will follow the delivery time stated below:
- Email gift certificates will be sent the same business day.
- US Mail orders ship the same business day and are delivered within 6-13 days.
- FedEx® 2nd Day ship the same business day and are delivered within two business days.
- FedEx® Priority Overnight ships the same business day and are delivered on the next business day.
- FedEx® Saturday Delivery ships the same day and is delivered the next day.
- Orders made on legal holidays will be processed and shipped the following business day and delivered according to the shipping option you choose.

What Are the Delivery Requirements?
- FedEx® deliveries require a mandatory signature, regardless of any waiver you have signed with FedEx®.
- FedEx® Saturday Delivery is available 2PM EST Thursday through 1:30PM EST Friday.
- Shipments bound for addresses in Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Guam must be sent via FedEx® Overnight.
- FedEx® is unable to ship to PO Boxes and APO / FPO addresses. Shipments to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses must be shipped via US mail.
- Shipments with total amounts over $300 must be shipped via FedEx® 2nd Day, FedEx® Overnight, or FedEx® Saturday Overnight.

What Service Fees are Charged?
The purchase a merchant gift card or a SuperCertificate includes a service fee, which covers the cost of U.S. Mail shipping, packaging, customer service, etc.
- Service fees are not assigned to merchant gift cards when a SuperCertificate is being redeemed.
- SuperCertificates are charged product fees between $2.95 and $3.95, depending on face value. Please see SuperCertificate product pages for full details.
- Specialty SuperCertificates are charged product fees between $3.45 and $4.45, depending on face value. Please see the Specialty SuperCertificate product pages for full details.
- Merchant gift cards are charged product fees between $1.00 and $2.00, depending on face value. Please see the individual product pages for full details.
- American Express® Gift Cheques are charged a total service fee of $2.95 for orders up to $200. Orders exceeding $200 will be charged a product fee of 5% of face value.
Shipping fees are calculated based on a maximum of 400 gift certificates and a value of $10,000 per package. Orders exceeding either amount will ship in multiple packages and will be charged accordingly. Your credit card will not be charged until your order ships from our facility
The GiftCertificates.com MasterCard® Gift Card
The GiftCertificates.com MasterCard Gift Card must be shipped via standard US Mail. A shipping fee of $1.00 will be applied to orders.
No service fees are charged until the thirteenth month from the day of purchase, whereupon a Monthly Maintenance Fee of $2.00 per month will be applied to any remaining balance, except where prohibited by law.

Go to the Search Center to search for a gift certificate by name, location, denomination or occasion. You can also view an A-Z merchant list or view merchants by category.

Do merchant gift certificates expire?
Original gift certificates from our merchants provide terms specific to the individual companies. Where expiration dates apply, gift certificates will generally be valid for six months to two years from date of purchase.

Where can I redeem a merchant gift certificate?
It depends on the merchant. If you receive a merchant gift certificate in the mail you must redeem the gift certificate at the merchant’s physical location; however, some merchants will allow their gift certificates to be redeemed online or by phone. If you receive a gift certificate via email it will contain online instructions on how to redeem your gift certificate.

Creating an account is simple. Go to My Account, select "Sign Up" and enter the requested information. You can update your account information at any time by signing in to your account with your email address and password and going to Account Information.

If you are signed into your account you have the option to save multiple shipping addresses in your Address Book. The billing address is the same contact information that is stored in your account.

What do I do if I forgot my password?
If you have forgotten the password you can have a new one emailed to you. Simply go to My Account, click on the "Forgot your password?" link, and submit your email address. You will receive an email from us with your new password. Please note that passwords are case-sensitive and should be entered exactly as provided. Once you are signed in you can go to My Account and then to Account Info, where you will be able to change your password to something you can remember.

How can I track my order?
You can track your order online by going to Order Status, which is also located in the upper right corner of the site. You will need to enter your Order Confirmation Number and either your first or last name or email address. Once your order is verified you will see the details of your order and if your order has shipped.
If your order is being shipped by FedEx® you will be provided with a tracking number so that you can use its online tracking system to locate your package.

My order should have arrived by now, but it hasn't. What should I do?
If your order was shipped by U.S. Mail please allow 13 days for delivery from the date it shipped. If it is between 14 and 60 days past the date it shipped, please sign in to your account or use Order Status to view the details of your order. If you have further questions regarding your order, please contact Customer Service.
If your order was shipped via FedEx® and it should have arrived already, please contact Customer Service.
Please note: GiftCertificates.com will not be responsible for merchandise that is undeliverable or not received due to the purchaser’s failure to enter accurate delivery information, including physical and email addresses, or when 60 days have passed since the date GiftCertificates.com shipped the certificate(s).
If your order was delivered via email:
A variety of reasons can prevent a recipient from being able to receive an email from GiftCertificates.com and others. Most common reasons include:
Recipient’s Internet security setting is very high (sender is not on the safe list)
Recipient’s firewall blocks the email
Recipient’s email inbox has exceeded its size limit
Invalid email address
Please see if any of these reasons may have caused the email to not be received. Then contact Customer Service and we will resend the certificate.

From time to time we offer special promotions for our customers. During the account sign up process you'll be asked if you want to opt in to receive email promotional offers. Make sure you click the opt-in box in order to be added to our list! If you’re a returning customer who opted out and now wants to opt in, simply sign in and update your preferences in your profile.

How do I use a promotion code?
During checkout you’ll be asked for payment information. You can enter your promotion code on this page.
Remember, each promotion has its own set of rules, which should be listed in the fine print associated with the offer. Here are some common rules:
- If the offer specifies "first-time customers only," to take advantage of the offer you must be a new customer to GiftCertificates.com, which means you’ve never before purchased from us before.
- If a minimum purchase amount is stated on the offer, you have to order at least that dollar value of gift cards/certificates or SuperCertificate gifts. That does not include shipping and/or service fees.
- Many offers are good for one order only and are not combinable with other promotions.
- Promotions are not valid when redeeming a SuperCertificate.
- Offers are not applicable to previously placed orders.
- To prevent abuse, GiftCertificates.com reserves the right to cancel any order at any time.

You probably received a Promotional SuperCertificate because you took advantage of a GiftCertificates.com promotion. A promotional SuperCertificate is valid for 60 days and are sent via email. To redeem your Promotional SuperCertificate, go to the Redemption Center and walk through the steps.
A promotional SuperCertificate cannot be used on the websites or in the stores of merchants represented on GiftCertificates.com. A promotional SuperCertificate is not redeemable for cash, non-promotional SuperCertificate gifts or American Express® Gift Cheques.
